On December 23, 2024, the Israel Sweden Chamber of Commerce (ISCC) joined an extraordinary event at Ichilov Hospital, hosted by Mr. Ze’ev Lavie, the hospital’s Deputy CEO for International Business Development and External Relations. This gathering brought together representatives from the Israeli Federation of Bi-National Chambers of Commerce to explore new horizons in medical innovation and international collaboration.
The event aimed to showcase the hospital’s pioneering advancements in healthcare and identify ways for the chambers to support international trade and attract global delegations to Israel. The strong turnout—featuring 29 chamber leaders and over 40 participants—highlighted the keen interest in fostering partnerships between the healthcare and business sectors.

Presentations by the innovation center’s team shed light on cutting-edge developments in the medical field, and participants received a special address from Prof. Ronni Gamzu, the hospital’s former CEO. One of the day’s most captivating moments was a rooftop tour, where attendees witnessed the hospital’s emergency helicopter landing pad. This hands-on demonstration of life-saving evacuations from critical situations offered a powerful reminder of the synergy between advanced infrastructure and patient care.
