Sweden’s national innovation agency, Vinnova, has announced the results of its Innovative Startups 2025 call, providing SEK 50 million in funding to 103 early-stage companies with strong international potential.
The supported projects span diverse fields including life science, IT, food innovation, culture, and cyber defense.
Unlike many public programs, Innovative Startups is not tied to a specific theme — it focuses on newly founded companies across all sectors, betting on potential rather than predefined categories.
Since its launch in 2016, more than 1,100 startups have received support through this program, making it one of Sweden’s most significant mechanisms for early-stage innovation funding.
The initiative highlights Sweden’s commitment to translating innovation policy into tangible, long-term outcomes that strengthen the national and international innovation ecosystem.
